Busy, busy.

TODAY IS THE DAY! After a week of packing and moving (with some time for friends and family) we are finally at the airport, getting ready to board the plane for Vegas.

Kyle went to Indiana to celebrate his sisters graduation; and Megan stayed in AZ to pack up, go skydiving, fly an airplane and enjoy Happy Hour ;)

We're glad to be at the airport early, it gives us time to plan what we will do during our five hour layover in Las Vegas! After that we land Wednesday morning at Gatwick, take the express into central London and then relax in our flat in Camden.

2 Years ago TODAY....

I met the most amazing women to ever come into my life. When we first met I was still a "technically homeless" full time fashion model who owned little more then a carry on suitcase and a backpack, which when you think about it its kind of astonishing that we, just a few weeks ago, sold all of our belongings in search of travel and adventure.

Its totally different traveling with someone you love. Every experience is that much brighter. Colors have more pop, backdrops and landscapes seem more vivid. That was the only thing missing in my life, someone to simultaneously indulge in all the wonders of the world; to know the joys of care free wandering.

The life of the "vagabond"...

Love,

K

Highspeed Seattle

We touched down at the Seattle-Tacoma airport Monday at noon, rented a car, and sped off into the downtown madness under unusually sunny skies and 85 degree weather. The first stop on our list was Pike's Place Market; tulip gardens, fish throwing, crazy hippies, and delicious street food - check, check, and check! From there we ran off to Harbor Steps and set appointments for multiple apartment viewings throughout the week - it's official, Seattle will be our new home! We met up with Kyle's friend Christophe and enjoyed dinner at Ray's Boathouse near Golden Gardens Park. During our stay, we crashed at Francis and Ry's new place, a short 25 minute drive South of downtown.

The next few days were more fun and exciting then we could have anticipated. Kyle got signed by the Seattle Models Guild, and even managed to sneak in a casting. We bought Seattle City Passes for $69, giving us access to the Seattle Aquarium, Argosy Harbor Tour, EMP Museum, the Pacific Science Center with IMAX show, the Woodland Park Zoo and the top of the Space Needle both during the day and at night! We were lucky enough to be given tickets to SAM, the Seattle Art Museum, and we did Bill Speidel's Underground Tour for adults (the Underworld Tour).

Between all the touristy attractions we had enough time to dig for clams at Francis and Ry's, share a delicious clam dinner, play Cards Against Humanity and enjoy some amazing drinks and sashimi at Umis on First Ave. All while touring multiple apartments trying to find a place to live come this fall :)

Seattle was BEAUTIFUL during our five day stay, we only saw ten minutes of rain Thursday evening, which leads us to ask ourselves, "where is this place that lives under rainy and overcast skies?"... We believe the threats of bad weather must be a ploy by the Seattleites to keep their city to themselves - and we don't blame them!

Sacramento 2 Seattle

We are currently sitting in Cafeteria 15L in the Sacramento airport sipping on spicy Bloody Mary's! Landing here felt surreal, it's hard to remember the last time we had a "fun" vacation with no agenda attached. So far todays only downside was flying Southwest Airlines, we love the "bags fly free" aspect, but not the cattle call-free for all-grab a seat while you can-no good food in the terminals one.

Plans for the rest of the day include meeting up with our wonderful host Francis who is hooking us up with a rental car (and providing a place to stay), touring the city a little and spending then some time with our host and wonderful hostess, Francis' girlfriend Ry! Main mission of today: picture of the Space Needle!

Buying Tickets Makes it Reality

Wednesday we finally sat down and purchased tickets! As you can see we have an unfortunately long layover --- IN VEGAS! Five hours to kill, and McCarran Airport is only four miles from the strip, WE'RE GOING TO PLAY!!!!

In addition to buying tickets, we think that we have secured a place to stay with a nice lady named Lekha who is renting us a double suite room in her flat in Belsize Park. It will cost us £260 a week or $417. To finance the trip (and prepare for the move) we had a garage sale yesterday! It was crazy to see nearly all of our material posessions out front on the lawn for the world to pick through. All that is left now are a few key items to get us through the next few weeks, beds, dressers, clothes and toiletries are all that remain.

We depart on our Seattle trip Monday through Friday, Saturday is the last day of work for both of us, Kyle leaves for Indiana Sunday the 20th for a week, and we take off together for London the following Tuesday. So much to do, so little time!

Happy Mothers Day to Charon, Oma, Cyndimom and Diana <3

Ahhhh!!! Too Many Decisions...

After spending most of the morning on the phone with Jordan, a helpful gentelman in the London Bridge Foxton's Letting Agency, no progress was made for a short term flat let. Kyle figured it would be worth a shot messaging his friend Sei, who lives in London about the trip, hoping he could help find a flat for the 8 - 10 week time period. Sei contributed by mentioning http://www.airbnb.com and LITERALLY a whole new world of possibility opened up. We spent the whole afternoon talking about and researching potential places to stay and looking at not only rooms but villas, houses and properties to rent on there! Our searches have taken us from London, to St Thomas, to Hawaii, then Barcelona, and back to London again...

Overwhelmed with possibilities we must make a decision soon because we already quit our jobs!

Here We GO!

72 hours ago we decided it would be a good idea to pack up our house in Scottsdale, AZ, sell everything we won't need, throw the rest away, and move to London for seven weeks. Our mission in London is to document everything we can about the 2012 Olympics, and our day to day lives to share it here with you in this blog! Expect to see many pictures, videos and ramblings about everything we encounter :)

After we return we will be homeless and Seattle bound! Recently it has been Kyle's dream to live in Seattle to work at becoming a landscape and adventure photographer... It has been my longstanding dream to move out of my hometown and experience life in a bigger city.

The packing starts NOW!
